Portugal Bike Value will showcase the results of the AM2R agenda at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, positioning Portugal as a strategic partner in high‑value two‑wheel mobility. The exhibition will present 55 ready‑for‑market innovations—including advanced e‑cargo bikes, modular platforms, high‑efficiency propulsion systems and proprietary composite frames—demonstrating the ecosystem’s capacity to deliver vertically integrated, sustainable solutions that reduce dependence on Asian supply chains.
By aligning the launch with the Show’s calendar, the consortium of 38 industry leaders and nine scientific partners emphasizes the maturity of its technologies, which have already undergone rigorous testing and are poised for commercial deployment. The display underlines Portugal’s commitment to a resilient, low‑carbon supply chain, offering partners reduced risk, superior product performance and access to a rapidly expanding global e‑bike market projected to exceed €51 thousand million by 2029.
The presentation aims to translate the generated interest into concrete partnerships, technology licensing agreements and direct foreign investment, thereby reinforcing Portugal’s role as the European hub for premium, innovative mobility solutions. Stakeholders are invited to engage with the Portugal Bike Value platform to explore collaborative opportunities that will shape the next decade of sustainable urban transport.
The AM2R project(Agenda Mobilizadora para a Inovação Empresarial do Setor das Duas Rodas) is financed by the PRR/Next Generation EU funds, AM2R acts as a powerful accelerator. This ambitious initiative involves a consortium of 47 entities, including leading companies like Polisport, universities, technology centers, and the sector’s representative body, ABIMOTA.
