First European carbon frame factory to be opened in Portugal
The initial investment for the Carbon Team project was 8.4 million euros. Construction of the plant, a 9000 m2 pavilion, started in the fourth quarter of 2019 and was completed at the end of last year. The company is headquartered in Campia, in the municipality of Vouzela.
The plant generates 120 direct jobs, thanks to a high level of technological integration and automation, and is expected to produce 25,000 carbon frames per year by 2024. In the plans of the brand there is already the possibility of, in the medium term, increase the production area by another seven thousand square meters.
